Meet Claudia Meneses

Claudia Meneses - Avanti Green CEO

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Claudia Meneses. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Claudia, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?

It was in 2011 when I decided to help my aunt, who was working as a housekeeper at the time but wasn’t getting enough hours each week. I knew nothing about the cleaning industry, but I wanted to support her. Having studied business administration in college and always being passionate about finance, I was determined to find a way.

I remember sitting in front of my computer, googling “cleaning companies in Las Vegas,” and being shocked by how many there were. I immediately thought, How will clients find me? What will set me apart from the other companies? That was when I decided to create Las Vegas’ first eco-friendly cleaning company.

Avanti Green Eco Cleaning became a pioneer in eco-friendly cleaning services in Las Vegas and Henderson. Our unique approach has helped countless clients who suffer from allergies, asthma, or are environmentally conscious. Our company doesn’t use any toxic products making our cleaning services safe for our clients, their families and their pets.

As our company grew, we expanded our services including carpet cleaning, pressure washing, window cleaning, floor care and pest control. We are a one-stop-shop.

Claudia, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I was born in El Salvador and emigrated to the United States at the age of 24. I studied business administration in college, and my passion for business led me to launch a company here. I am a mother of a 9-year-old and live in Summerlin, a suburb of Las Vegas. I’m proud of the work ethic I am instilling in my daughter and the legacy I am building for her. What I love most about my business is the jobs it creates for my community. Avanti Green currently employs nearly 50 people, and they are like family to me.

I also love the fact that we are deeply involved in the community. Last year, we launched a partnership with the Clark County School District (CCSD) to educate students in grades K–2 on becoming environmental champions by learning about water and energy conservation, as well as sustainable practices such as reusing and recycling. We visit classrooms and teach students through interactive games.

How’d you meet your business partner?

My journey with Avanti Green Eco Cleaning has been deeply intertwined with a cherished friendship that spans two decades. I first met Noemy back in El Salvador twenty years ago, and we forged a strong bond. A year after my own migration to the United States, fate brought us together again in Las Vegas. At the time, I was in the early stages of launching Avanti Green, while Noemy was utilizing her impressive organizational skills at a travel agency.

Recognizing her exceptional talents in this area, I knew she would be an invaluable asset to my growing business. I asked her to join Avanti Green as a minority partner, entrusting her with the crucial task of managing various operational aspects in the field. To this day, Noemy remains an active and dedicated partner, contributing her considerable knowledge and talents to the success of Avanti Green. Beyond our professional collaboration, she is also a dear personal friend, making our shared entrepreneurial journey even more meaningful.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?

I started my business bank account with just $100 in cash. I still remember walking into the bank, making that small but significant deposit to begin my entrepreneurial journey. At the time, I purchased most of the equipment I needed on a credit card, spending around $1,500. It was a big risk, but I believed in my vision. To sustain myself and keep the business growing, I took on small side jobs to supplement my income. Those early days were challenging, but they taught me resilience and determination.

Fast forward 14 years, and Avanti Green Eco Cleaning has grown beyond anything I could have imagined. Today, we dispatch between 35-40 jobs per day and even provide porter services for weekend events. What started as a small family business has transformed into an operation with nearly 50 employees.

Last year, we reached a major milestone by securing three city contracts for our carpet cleaning and pressure washing services. It was a turning point fueled by the launch of new service offerings like floor care, window cleaning, and, of course, carpet cleaning and pressure washing. These additions allowed us to significantly expand our reach and meet the growing demands of our clients.

Looking back, the challenges and sacrifices of those first few years were all worthwhile. Avanti Green Eco Cleaning is living proof that with hard work, perseverance, and a willingness to adapt, you can turn small beginnings into something truly impactful.
